JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local nonprofit organization held a fashion show Thursday, as it celebrated the success of individuals it has helped.
Goodwill of North Florida's annual "Strive to Succeed" luncheon highlighted the organization's mission of helping people find jobs.
For more than 60 years, the group has collected unwanted clothing, which is then sold through Goodwill stores. The money brought in through those stores is used to help people find work. Over the last year, Goodwill of North Florida has helped more than 10,000 people.
This year's event included a celebrity fashion show, emceed by Channel 4's Nikki Preede. Local celebrities, including Channel 4's Bruce Hamilton, modeled holiday and fall outfits, made of clothes donated to Goodwill. Each outfit could be purchased for under $20.
