JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Oprah Winfrey is on the left and Sarah Palin is on the right, but on Monday, for the first time, they'll meet in the middle to talk.
In fact, Oprah addressed the issue on her video blog on Oprah.com.
"You know, a lot of people didn't want me to have her on the show, lots did," Oprah said. "Her supporters didn't think she could come on. She did."
On Monday, the exclusive taped interview will air on Channel 4.
In the interview, the two well-known public figures touched Palin's now infamous interview with Katie Couric during the presidential campaign last year.
"The campaign said, 'Right on. Good. You're showing your independence. This is what Americans need, and it was a good interview,'" Palin tells Oprah. "Of course, I'm thinking, 'If you thought that was a good interview, I don't know what a bad was.'"
Former Alaska Gov. Palin's new book "Going Rogue" will hit bookstores on Tuesday, one day after her interview with the queen of talk.
Palin will be coming to Jacksonville on Nov. 24 to sign copies of her new book. She'll be at the Books-A-Million store in the Orange Park Mall.
Palin talks about the book and her interview with Oprah on her Facebook page. She says the audience was "full of warm, energized and no doubt curious viewers."
