Maryland Fugitive Arrested In Fernandina

The Fernandina Beach Police Department assisted the United States Marshal's Service on Thursday in arresting a man described as a violent fugitive wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Baltimore, Md.
Thomas J. Reed was wanted on the attempted murder charge out of Maryland as well as active warrants from Hillsborough County, Fla., for trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana, racketeering and other charges.
Police said Reed was staying at his mother’s home at on South 10th Street. He was arrested without incident at T-Ray’s Restaurant on Beech Street.
