Police: 11 Shot, 1 Killed In Valdosta

VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Police said 11 people were shot, one fatally in Valdosta.Valdosta police Capt. Bobbi McGraw said in a news release that the shooting happened about 6 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex at 807 South Fry Street.McGraw said nine wounded have been taken to area hospitals, where all but two were treated and released.She said police have leads on one suspect and there might be more. She said no motive has been established, but that it may have started after an argument among a large crowd at an apartment complex.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Valdosta Police Department Bureau of Investigations at 229-242-2606 or the anonymous crime tip line at 229-293-3091.
