John Rahaim, a physician who was arrested in July and accused of trading prescription painkillers for sex, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit a prohibited act.

According to court records, a drug trafficking charge was dropped in exchange for his guilty plea on the conspiracy charge.

Rahaim, 74, was sentenced to three years of Department of Correction's supervision and five years of probation.

Rahaim also had to surrender his medical license.

Police investigating Rahaim talked to several women who claimed they had sex with Rahaim at his office and at his home in exchange for pain medications, including Xanax and Lortab.

Rahaim was arrested after police conducting surveillance said they witnessed the doctor turn over a bottle containing 11 hydrocodone pills to a woman.
