A 22-year-old St. Augustine Beach woman was found safe late Thursday afternoon, hours after deputies began searching for her.
Detectives with St. Johns County Sheriff's Office had been conducting a ground and air search for Sherrie Donato much of the afternoon.
They said she was found by deputies while walking down A Street.
Detectives said they were following up and planned to conducted interviews in the near future.
Donato was last heard from by a family member at about 1 a.m. Thursday. Deputies said she was last seen at a bar at the beach.
Deputies said there was no evidence of foul play, but Donato's cellphone and ID were found by a jogger on the roadside at St. Augustine Beach about 6 a.m.
Donato lives with her mother, who reported her missing when she did not return home, deputies said. They said the mother told them it's not unusual for Donato to stay out and not contact her.
No friends had expressed concerns regarding foul play, deputies said, and there was nothing of concern on any social media websites.
A Code Red phone call went out to homes in a two-mile radius of where Donato was last seen.
