OSHA Investigates Accident That Kills Railroad Worker

A railroad worker who was critically injured in an accident on the tracks Tuesday has died.

Rescue officials said the man was working by a railroad track on the Northside when a train car door suddenly swung open, striking hit him on the head. He was rushed to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center, but died a short time later.

His identity has not been released.

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration is investigating.
