Jax Beach Police Investigate Assault

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- Jacksonville Beach police told Channel 4 they were called out to the scene of a sexual battery early Saturday morning.Police said when officers arrived, they found a woman who had been attacked. Authorities said she was transported to the hospital.Detectives said the attack happened on the beach, between 5th and 6th Avenue North in Jacksonville Beach.Authorities did not release much information, including whether there are any suspects in custody, exactly where the attack happened or if they have any suspects in mind.Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
