Teacher Under Arrest For Fondling Teen At Summer Camp

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Duval County school teacher working as a summer camp counselor is under arrest after a teenage girl told police he fondled her.
A 15-year-old girl told police that Joshua Terrell, 27, touched her buttocks and between her legs last Thursday as he was accompanying the victim on a camp field trip to Naval Air Station Jacksonville.She reported that Terrell told her, "That was fun" after one of the incidents.The victim reported that she was assaulted again the next day on the grounds of Jacksonvile Jewish Center when Terrell grabbed her by the arm and asked her to stay behind. She claims he asked "Why are you pulling away," then kissed her and started fondling her breasts -- first through her clothes, then reaching under her shirt.She said she got away when the suspect's cell phone rang.Terrell was arrested at his apartment Tuesday and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct of a victim under 16, a second-class felony with a maximum penalty of 15 years in jail.Police report that during an interview after his arrest, Terrell admitted to making inappropriate decisions.Terrell was a drama teacher the past two years at Northwestern Middle School and was under contract to teach math at Ed White High School this year.
