Hollis was convicted in February for the August 2008 attack on a 49-year-old woman. Authorities said Hollis broke into the victim's home while she was sleeping in her bedroom.

The victim woke up to Hollis standing next to her bed with a large knife. Investigators said Hollis forced the victim from her bed to the living room where he repeatedly sexually battered her.

Authorities said Hollis then forced the victim back to her bedroom, where he attacked her again while continually threatening to kill her if she did not cooperate.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers found Hollis' fingerprints in the bathroom near the window he used to break into the home. Police later matched DNA found on the victim to Hollis.
