A new national cemetery in Jacksonville recently approved by Congress will most likely be built near the city's airport.

The city is trying to get the state to help by donating land for the project. It is likely to be built near the airport.

City leaders want to tie the cemetery in with other parks and federal reserves in the area.

Officials said it would take about a year for all of the plans to be finalized.
