Man Sentenced In Death Of St. Augustine Teen
Ralph Faba, 26, was sentenced to the maximum penalty under the terms of his plea bargain. Faba (pictured, left) pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the strangling death of Angela Durling (pictured, right).Durling's family tearfully awaited Faba's sentencing in the courtroom, reading victim impact statements that recounted their own grief over the murder. Durling was a sophomore at St. Augustine High School when she was killed.Lorraine Durling, the victim's sister, expressed anger:"I want you to remember, step-by-step, everything you did to Angela. I want you to replay that over and over in your mind also: The look on her face, the fear, the pain, the torment you caused her. I want you to take all this with you into the depths of Hell."
Faba was charged with first-degree murder after he was arrested walking along U.S. 1, a short distance from a wooded area north of St. Augustine where Durling's body was found five days after she disappeared.Faba's mother also came to court and pleaded for her son."I would like to see him dead.
