A second man suspected in a home-invasion robbery of six people at a Fernandina Beach condominium early Tuesday morning.

Police said two men knocked on the door of a condominium at Amelia-by-the-Sea on South Fletcher Avenue about 3:30 a.m. When one of the victims answered the door, they forced their way inside.

Authorities said one of the men threatened the victims with a handgun and the men demanded money, drugs and alcohol from the six young people spending their spring break on Amelia Island. The two men left the condo without injuring the victims and ran.

Michael Nichols, 19, of Atlantic Beach, was arrested later that morning after a traffic stop at Jasmine Street and South Eighth Street. He was charged with home-invasion robbery and his bond was set at $100,002.

Fernandina Beach's SWAT team served a warrant Thursday afternoon at a home on First Avenue, taking Christopher Dewayne Weaver into custody.

Weaver, 25, is also charged with home-invasion robbery and booked into the Nassau County jail on $100,002 bond.

Police said Nichols and Weaver and two women visited the condominium before the robbery, saying they were looking for a party. Authorities said the two men returned wearing hooded camouflage jackets, Weaver carrying a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Police said Weaver pushed the gun against several victims' chests or necks during the robbery. Police said that gun was recovered from a bedroom closet in the home where Weaver was arrested.
