3 arrested in Lake City burglary

LAKE CITY, Fla. -

Three men were arrested in Lake City after police found them hiding out during a burglary Sunday night.

While responding to a burglary call, police officers saw Antonio Baker, 18, of Lake City coming out of a home at 603 NE Aberdeen St. Baker was taken into custody and officers continued to search the house.

Police then found Alfred Johnson III, 18, of Fort White, hiding in an upstairs bedroom. A third suspect, Lawrence Avenger, 20, of Lake City perched on the roof outside a second story window, police said.

All three men were booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on burglary charges.

The owner of the home said no one was currently living there.
