LAKE CITY, Fla. – A day care van waiting at the intersection of N.E. Bascom Norris Road and N.E. Voss Road was rear-ended last Wednesday, causing minor injuries to the driver and three of the four children inside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the Dodge van driven by Hannah Hendry, 31, of Lake City, was waiting for traffic to clear in order to turn left when it was struck by a Honda Accord driven by Jason Kelly, 29, of Live Oak.

The van from Happy Hearts Child Care was pushed into the vehicle in front of it, causing minor damage. Hendry and three children were taken to Shands Lake Shore as a precaution.
According to the FHP report, the children were property restrained with lap and shoulder belts.
Troopers said Kelly was arrested for driving with a suspended license and booked into the Columbia County jail. He was also cited with careless driving and having an expired license tag.
