3 killed, 8 injured in Titusville crash

FHP: A front tire may have malfunctioned

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Three people are dead and eight others are hurt after a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Titusville Monday.

Florida Highway Patrol said a front tire may have malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to flip. Three girls, all under the age of 18, were pronounced dead at the scene. There were a total of 11 people in the SUV.

Among those hurt was a child who was ejected over a 25-foot wall. The child is in the hospital in stable condition.

According to FHP, at least some of the people inside the vehicle weren't wearing seatbelts. The names of those involved have not been released
