30 Kemp's ridley sea turtles released back into ocean

Sea turtles were released at Little Talbot Island State Park

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Thirty Kemp's ridley sea turtles were released back into the ocean Saturday afternoon at Little Talbot Island State Park, according to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Ten of the sea turtles were rehabilitated by the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. Officials said the other 20 sea turtles were brought down by the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

Of those 20 turtles, six were rehabilitated by the National Aquarium (Baltimore), three were rehabilitated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and 11 were rehabilitated by the National Marine Life Center, FDEP officials said.
