RABAT, Morocco – Morocco's state news agency says 31 people have died in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus carrying a group of young athletes.
The agency quoted authorities as saying nine other people were injured and taken to hospitals following the early-morning crash Friday near the southern city of Tan-Tan.
Local media said the bus was carrying a delegation of young athletes from the northern town of Bouznika and from Laayoune, a city further to the south in the annexed Western Sahara territory.
