Woman May Have Driven Around With Dead Mom

Video Shows Woman Wandering Store For 14 Hours

POSTED: Wednesday, April 28,

A woman filmed wandering in a Wal-Mart for 14 hours may have driven around Florida with her dead, decomposing mother in the front seat, according to Flagler County sheriff's deputies.

The unidentified woman's body was found in a Palm Coast Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot Tuesday afternoon after shoppers complained of a foul odor.

Deputies later discovered the badly decomposed body of an older woman under sheets inside the car.

Investigators said surveillance video showed the driver of the car in which the body was found entered the Wal-Mart and wandered for 14 hours. Investigators said the wandering woman may be the dead woman's daughter.

The woman was transported to a local hospital after her story didn't make sense and she seemed to be a danger to herself, according to police.

The car in the parking lot is registered in Oklahoma to Alicia and Melba Dosier -- although police can't confirm if those people are involved.

Deputies expect autopsy results Wednesday to determine how the woman died.

The woman has not been charged.
