Man Arrested For Allegedly Shooting Intruder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville police have a man in custody who they say shot a teen breaking into his home Tuesday afternoon.
A 15-year-old girl who knows the man reportedly skipped school and broke into his home on the 7500 block of Patrice Court. The man then shot the teen in the arm after a confrontation.
The girl is listed in serious but stable condition.The homeowner said there was a second suspect who fled the scene. Police searched the area for the other intruder, but the story turned out to be false.
Police would not elaborate on the relationship between the two, nor would they comment on a possible motive for the break-in.The homeowner was arrested and may be charged with aggravated assault for firing the gun.Stay tuned to Eyewitness News for details on this story.
