Missing Guardsman Found Dead In Nassau Woods

A missing National Guardsman just home from Iraq was found dead Friday.
Ponte Vedra resident Jason Bonts, 25, had not been seen since May 19 -- about one week after returning for deployment.A work crew in Nassau County found Bonts' pick up truck in the woods just off County Road 108 near Hilliard. Deputies then discovered his body nearby.Friends and family had mounted an all-out search, concerned because Bonts left home without medication he's supposed to take everyday. They said he has been depressed since coming home from Iraq, and they were more worried about him now than when he was deployed.An autopsy will be performed to determine how Bonts died.
