Man Gets 8 Years For Groping Girl At Wal-Mart
Jason Brackett (pictured, right), 29, pleaded guilty to lewd molestation after he was arrested for fondling a 9-year-old girl at a Wal-Mart. Brackett, who was caught on store surveillance video repeatedly groping the girl, told police he thought she was older.Brackett has previous convictions for sexual offenses on minors and was released last September from a 15-year prison sentence for lewd and lascivious molestation of a juvenile in Indian River County.According to the Department of Corrections, he served 12 years of that sentence.Since he had not registered as a sex offender with Clay County authorities, Brackett is also charged with failure to register, an additional felony.- March 15, 2004: Police: Suspect Admits Groping 9-Year-Old In Wal-Mart
