POSTED: Monday, July 12, 2004

Putnam County authorities arrested a man in Indiana Monday in connection with the April murder of a man in a Satsuma home.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Michael Wayne Nelson of Payoli, Ind., was being held in Orange County, Ind., on unrelated drug and attempted murder charges when he was served with a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the April 4 shooting death of Rodney Graham. He is also charged with two counts of grand theft that occurred at the time of the murder.

Putnam authorities said Nelson will eventually be extradited back to Florida to face the murder charge.
