JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Four people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man at a Baymeadows hotel earlier this week, Jacksonville police said at a news conference Friday afternoon.

Jennifer Henn, 31, Craig Roback, 31, Douglas Haynes, 27, and Beau Graham, 26, were arrested Thursday night. All are charged with murder and armed robbery.

Vasudevbhai Barot, 47, was found dead in a Quality Inn and Suites hotel room in Baymeadows on Monday morning. Police said he was beaten to death and robbed.

According to a police report, Barot was tied up in his room and brutally beaten for nearly two hours while the suspects got him to tell them the code to his combination safe, which held several thousand dollars.

Hotel management called police to the hotel in the 8300 block of Dix Ellis Trail about 7 a.m. Officers said Barot was a regular customer at the hotel.

"The hotel management staff, apparently, they expect to see this person on a regular basis in the morning," an investigator at the scene said Monday. "When he didn't show up, they went to check on him and discovered him unresponsive."

Police said the suspects were made aware of Barot through an acquaintance, and then targeted him.
