4 teens arrested in Flagler County statue vandalism

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Four Palm Coast teens have been charged in connection with damaging a statue of Venus DeMilo just after midnight on July 9 at the European Village in Palm Coast.

A group of five people, four males and one female, were seen on surveillance video in the courtyard of the complex walking past the statue, pushing on it and causing it to fall, deputies said.

The statue was valued at $3,500.

Those arrested are Joseph Orza, 18; Tyrone Walker, 19; Sequawne Solomon, 18; and Eddy De La Cruz, 17.

"In the days following this incident we issued a release asking for help from the public. We received several tips, which were vital to our investigation and which ultimately led to these arrests," said Sheriff James Manfre.

No other arrests are expected.
