4 wanted in nonprofit scam

1 suspect arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office named four suspects who they say scammed a nonprofit organization out of thousands of dollars.

Police said Sauna Hicks and Johnny McCray, two employees at the Community Rehabilitation Center, stole more than $77,000 during a nine month period.

Hicks was arrested on Thursday.

McCray was a pastor who used the personal information of his church members to create checks in their name without their knowledge, police said. He turned himself in Friday afternoon.

Police are also looking for Robyn Melton, Cynthia Harris and Phyllis Ray, who they said received the stolen funds.

If you have information about any of the wanted suspects, call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
