St. Johns Deputy Dragged By Car After Traffic Stop
Authorities said the deputy pulled over a Jeremiah Finch, 26, for speeding in a school zone, but when he walked up to the car, Finch jumped back into the drivers seat. The deputy tried to stop him by reaching into the car grab the keys, but was then dragged by the car.Finch didn't get far -- crashing the car into a tree at the intersection of Gilbert and King streets.The deputy was taken to a hospital, but officials said his injuries were minor.Finch is charged with fleeing police and driving on a suspended driver's license.Copyright 2005 by News4Jax.com.
