Woman Dies, Two Injured In Waycross Stabbing
POSTED: Wednesday, June 1, 2005
Waycross investigators are working to determine a motive in a multiple stabbing that left one person dead.
Waycross police said officers called late Tuesday afternoon to a North Nicholls Street apartment found a 35-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman stabbed. Police said Tasha Gibson died at the scene and Bobby Gibson was transported to Satilla Regional Medical Center, where he was reported in critical condition.
A third person, Yvette Brown, 46, the mother of the slain woman, was treated and released for head injuries.
Police said Tasha and Bobby Gibson were married, but investigations were not sure if they still were together.
Police told the
Waycross Journal-Herald that violence appeared to be a "domestic situation," but they had not charged anyone and were still interviewing witnesses.
Crime scene technicians from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are assisting Waycross police with the case.
