Five people were displaced when two homes caught fire Monday afternoon in Brentwood.
Firefighters were called to the homes in the 4500 block of Perry Street about 4 p.m.
Heavy flames were seen coming from the attic of one home, and the fire spread to the other home, which is about 8 feet apart.

The fire was put out a short time later. No one was hurt.
The five displaced are all adults.
The state Fire Marshal was called to investigate.
