Five teams, including No. 1 Gonzaga, earned automatic bids into the NCAA men's basketball tournament with victories in the finals of their conference tournaments Monday.
Gonzaga pulled away from St. Mary's in the second half to win the West Coast Conference tournament final 65-51.
James Madison won the Colonial Athletic Association, beating Northeastern 70-57.
Iona captured the Metro Atlantic Conference crown with a 60-57 win over Manhattan.
Davidson took the Southern Conference crown by drubbing the College of Charleston 74-55.
Western Kentucky edged Florida International in the Sun Belt final 65-63.
The winners join the teams that have already qualified: Belmont (Ohio Valley), Creighton (Missouri Valley), Florida Gulf Coast (Atlantic Sun), Harvard (Ivy League) and Liberty (Big South).
