Jacksonville police said 20-year-old Issac Peterson was killed in a traffic accident in Murray Hill just moments after leaving St. Vincent's Medical Center where his fiancee, Chris-Tavia Dixon, was in labor.

Peterson and Dixon were planning to get married this Friday.

Two days after his death, Dixon has released this statement:

"He was here the whole time, up until I was 8 centimeters. He just went home to get me some pajamas, but he didn't get to make it back to see his son."

"All he ever wanted was a family and to see his baby be born."

Dixon named their 7 pound 4 ounce son Isaac Peterson in honor his dad.
