Cheerleaders Arrested After Alleged Sex In Tampa Club
POSTED: Monday, November 7, 2005
Two NFL football cheerleaders were arrested over the weekend after they were found having sex in a bathroom stall at a Tampa, Fla., nightclub, then became involved in a fight, according to police.
Police said Carolina Panthers cheerleaders Angela Keathley and Renee Thomas were arrested Sunday morning at Banana Joe's nightclub in Tampa.
Tampa police reports showed the two women were having sex in a bathroom stall when angry patrons began protesting. The report also said one of the cheerleaders was so drunk she could barely stand.
Police said the two cheerleaders became involved in a fight with a woman in the bathroom who had apparently said something to the women.
Thomas allegedly punched the woman in the face.
Thomas was charged with one count of battery and Keathley was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Neither of the women took part in Sunday's football game.
