JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Six people were taken to a hospital Sunday night after a city bus and two cars crashed, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported on Normandy Boulevard near Interstate 295 on the Westside and blocked eastbound lanes of Normandy.

A JTA bus was headed east on Normandy Boulevard, when a Chevy Malibu, attempting to turn onto I-295 south, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled out in front of the bus, causing the bus to hit the Malibu, according to FHP. The bus then hit a Nissan Altima in the I-295 southbound exit ramp to Normandy before colliding with a power box, troopers said.
The bus driver, Cleopatra Coleman, and four passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver and a passenger in the Altima were not injured. The driver of the Chevy Malibu, Maxine Foster, suffered minor injuries.
Foster has been charged with failure to yield to oncoming traffic, according to FHP.
