7-Eleven battle continues in St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The lawyers for the company that wants to build a 7-Eleven in St. Augustine have filed a motion with a St. Johns County judge to reconsider his denial of their request that he order the city to take up a revised plan for the store and gas station.

The City Commission denied the application for the 7-Eleven on San Marco Avenue. The company revised its plan, and a building permit was issued.

But the commission revoked the permit after opponents raised safety and traffic issues.

Lawyers for 7-Eleven contend the commission violated its due process by refusing to consider the revised plan.
