JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Nine people were displaced by a house fire in South Metro on Thursday morning, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

Firefighters said a fire broke out at the home on Drew Street, near Sheridan Lane. They said it appears the fire started in the laundry room.

No one was injured and the fire was put out in 20 minutes.

The Red Cross was assisting four adults and five children who lived in the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
