9-year-old robbed by teen while playing 'Pokemon Go'

13-year-old arrested, charged with robbery

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies said a 13-year-old Palm Coast boy was arrested after he waa accused of having stolen a pair of Under Armour sneakers by force from a 9-year-old boy on Tuesday.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said the victim and his 11-year-old brother were playing "Pokemon Go" in Ralph Carter Park around 5:40 p.m. when the suspect allegedly slammed the 13-year-old on the sidewalk, took his shoes off his feet and left the area on his bike.

Deputies said they located the suspect, who was positively identified by the victim and his brother. The shoes were returned to the victim, who suffered minor injuries.

The 13-year-old was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice. He is charged with robbery.
