Former ABC News anchor, Sam Donaldson has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk.

Police in Delaware say they picked up the veteran newsman on December first after he drove onto the shoulder of a road.

Investigators say the 78-year old failed his field sobriety test but was cooperative during the entire ordeal.

Donaldson has to appear in court to answer the charges against him.

Lewes is a coastal community in Southern Delaware.
