A 47-year-old Jacksonville woman is facing charges after troopers said she was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened Saturday night before 10 p.m. on Normandy Boulevard at Parrish Cemetery Road.

Troopers said 22-year-old Crystal Brown, of Starke, was walking in the eastbound lanes of Normandy Boulevard when she was hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck. Brown died at the scene.

Troopers said Virginia Kosobud was driving the truck and kept going. The truck was later located and Kosobud was arrested.

Kosobud is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and having no driver's license.

Alcohol test results are pending, troopers said.
