Good evening. The Sheriff says after seven months of investigating... a man is now locked up...charged with killing a mother of six. Flagler County detectives arrested this man -- 25-year-old Joseph Bova -- in Palm Beach County yesterday. Bova is charged with murder in the death of 32-year-old Zuheily Rosado. She was killed in February at a gas station in Palm Coast. Channel 4's Vic Micolucci talked to the sheriff and detectives about what led them to arrest Bova. Vic joins us live. 3 3 3 Detectives say this arrest was a long time coming...and they worked very hard to make it. And they say the big break came when they got an anonymous crime stoppers tip...that led them to Bova. 3 00-0831-3930:56 "This was a particularly disturbing homicide. And it was a particularly difficult homicide to investigate." Flagler County Sheriff James Manfre says Rosado's murder was senseless... this surveillance video shows the man walk in and open fire on the clerk...he left without taking a thing. For months, the case was unsolved, and some were losing hope that anyone would be caught. Until yesterday. When detectives announced they arrested 25-year-old Joseph Bova in Palm Beach County.33:53 "We dont not have a motive at this time. I think that's what makes this case even more unsettling, at this point it seems to be a murder without motive. We will be continuing to work this case until we find one." Bova has no criminal history, but had been in contact with police some 400 times. Most recently, they say he was living out of his car. Investigators say he used a very unique gun...that's made by a company in Daytona Beach. That made him a person of interest. They say they got a description of his car from nearby security cameras...they found a bullet in his old apartment, and ATM records showed he was in the gas station hours before the murder. Then, an anonymous tip came in ...and they searched the man's car.33:58 "During the search, we recovered the gun and also clothing that matched what the killer was wearing at the time of the murder. The gun was immediately taken to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Lab in Jacksonville here ballistic evidence recovered at the scene matched with the gun taken from Bova during the search warrrant." Investigators say that was enough to arrest the man... but there are still a lot of questions about what happened. 37:33 "there doesn't seem to be any motive at this point. So certainly that does not help the community that wants answers." 3 The sheriff says it appears that Bova and Zuheily Rosado did NOT know each other. I asked him if the detectives were looking for anyone else -- he said no, not right now, but they still have a lot of investigating left to do. In Flagler,Vic mIcolucci, ch4, Vic - we found out there were threats made to Rosado at the store days before her death. Do detectives think Bova is responsible for any of those?
