We are nearing the 14TH hour mark of deliberations in the trial against Michael Dunn in the shooting of 17 year old Jordan Davis. The jury spent a full day yesterday trying to decide whether to convict or acquit 47 year old Dunn. They asked for more angles of the surveillance tape from the gate gas station where the shooting happened... Then also asked several questions...including a request to see a dummy that was used during the medical examiner's testimony for the prosecution. That was denied.. But we are still on verdict watch -- with no clear indication of when it could come down. And some people that are waiting to hear that verdict are the family of the victim Jordan Davis.. Jennifer Waugh is LIVE at the courthouse with how his family is dealing with the long wait... 3 3 3 03-0608-14 3 Jen - the jury has been deliberating for hours now. What are the thoughts about a hung jury? 3 Let's look at trial length. The Casey Anthony trial lasted for 27 days. George Zimmerman's trial lasted for 13 days. And the Michael Dunn trial lasted for EIGHT days. 3 The jury in the Anthony case deliberated for 10 hours, 40 minutes. George Zimmerman's jury deliberated for 16 hours. And as we know, the Michael Dunn jury has deliberated for nearly 14 hours so far, but it will continue today 3 3 00:26:16-31 We stand in the spirit of Dr Martin Luther King. He was about love he was about bringing people together but what we found in this trial is that blacks and whites do believe that this man is guilty and so it doesn't take a lot of inflammatory language when you're on the side of right. 3 And while the jury deliberates the charges against Michael Dunn, they have a lot to consider. Melanie joins us with a look at all of Dunn's charges from the night Jordan Davis was killed...and how much time he could serve if he is convicted. 3 This jury has several charges to consider and as we've heard from the Davis family and many legal analyst they're confident these men and women are considering each of those charges carefully... The most serious charge Michael Dunn faces is first degree murder and if he's found guilty he will get life in prison... And on the three attempted murder charges Dunn could get anywhere from 15 years to life in prison on each count... And finally if he's found guilty of shooting into an occupied vehicle he could get up to 15 years in prison... Legal analyst Randy Reep says he suspects if the jury finds Dunn guilty any charges that Judge Healey will sentence him to the maximum for that specific charge.
