Baker County Man Killed In Crash

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -

Florida Highway Patrol Investigators said Casey Prevatt, 27, of Glen St. Mary, was killed after a head-on crash with another vehicle on U.S. 90, just east of Nursery Boulevard in Baker County Saturday morning.

Authorities said Prevatt was driving eastbound when, for unknown reasons, his car drifted into the westbound lane and crashed into an oncoming pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after his truck overturned and ended up in a ditch.

Prevatt was transported to Shands Hospital in Jacksonville and was later pronounced dead. Investigators said Prevatt had not been wearing his seat belt.
