A bicyclist was struck and killed Tuesday night while crossing a Southside street.

The accident happened at the intersection of St. Johns Bluff and Alden roads about 10:15 p.m.

Police said 50-year-old Jack Vann was crossing the road when the bicycle was hit by a Ford Expedition.

No charges were filed against the driver, but the investigation is continuing.
