Northbound traffic on Interstate 95 is back to normal after the cab of a tractor-trailer caught fire Wednesday afternoon in one northbound lane between Interstate 295 and Airport Road.
Images from the scene showed Jacksonville Fire-Rescue had responded and put out the fire. Just after 1:30 p.m., police reopened one lane to traffic, but northbound traffic was still backed up south of I-295. About 15 minutes later, all but one lane reopened and all northbound lanes were flowing freely again shortly after 2 p.m.
There were no reports of injuries, but the name of the driver and details of the fire had not been released.
