Rescue workers have found the body of a boater who disappeared Thursday night in the St. Augustine Inlet.
Witnesses said they saw two men ejected from a boat as it took a sharp turn in Salt Run, near the Conch House Marina about 7 p.m. Thursday. One man was able to swim to a nearby island, where he was picked up by another boat that was passing by. That man was not injured.
The second man was last seen just before nightfall treading water in the area. Shallow dives conducted in the area turned up a wallet floating on the surface of the water.
The man's body was recovered about 10:15 p.m. His name and other details of the incident were expected to be released Friday.
