A boil water notice has been issued for the east side of Baldwin.
Town officials said the water service was interrupted Monday to repair a waterline in the area.
As a precaution, residents should boil all water used for drinking or cooking. A rolling boil for one minute should be sufficient. As an alternative, bottle water may be used.
The notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink, which usually takes about three to four days.
