JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad disposed of a suspicious package found in a mailbox at Cedar Creek Christian School and Baptist Church on the Westside, investigators said.

The bomb squad was called to the 1300 block of South Lane Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the package contained items being returned by a former employee.

Lane and Lenox avenues, and Lane and Park Street on the south side of Park were closed while the package was detonated.

The school and church were evacuated during the process.
