The woman you just heard from is one of HUNDREDS of supporters who have sent a letter to the state attorney's office, DEMANDING Alexander's case be dismissed. The mother of 3 was convicted of aggravated armed assault and sentenced to 20 years in prison ... after she fired a shot in the direction of her husband and kids. Alexander said it was in self- defense...And last month, an appeals court overturned her conviction. Now, the date when she is scheduled to return before a judge, has been pushed back to November 1st. Her supporters say this only means more time for them to spread their message. There's even giving a sample letter which reads in part,TAKE PRE-PRO "Dear Ms. Corey, You have PRO "Dear Ms. Corey, You have an opportunity to allow an innocent person to go free without further cost to the state...and without further trauma to this woman and her family."The state attorneys office says they have received 300 letters, but they have no intention of dropping the charges.They issued a statement saying: TAKE PRE-PRO "The SAO will continue to pursue justice for our two child victims and their father who were endangered by the shot the defendant fired at them. "That's not stopping supporters like Anthony Heard, who on addition to writing a letter, appeared before Jacksonville city council.
