At least 10 people were killed and 16 others were wounded when a car bomb exploded near a busy outdoor market in Garmat-Ali, north of Basra, Iraq, on Sunday, authorities said.
Another blast wounded two others by a small market in the western part of the predominately Shiite province of Basra.
The oil-rich city of the same name is about 530 km south of Baghdad.
