A driver was critically injured when she drove her car through an Arlington church Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in the 6500 block of Larkin Road at Arlington Expressway about 3:30 p.m.
Police said the woman who was in her 60s was navigating a curve when she failed to turn and crash through a cafeteria window in the lower level of the church.

Children had cleared out of the cafeteria not long before the crash, and no one inside the church was hurt.
The woman was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center. Her family tells Channel 4 that the woman suffered and aneurism prior to the accident, causing her to lose control of the car.
Parents were arriving to pick up their children when they saw the car sticking out.
"A lot of police cars had the road blocked where we couldn't get in on the normal entrance, and then I saw half of the car through our cafeteria wall, and my mind just went, 'Uh,'" parent Marlo Cash said. "But I knew that the kids were not in there."
