Care Packages Sent To Iraq Honor Soldier
Published On: Oct 31 2011 05:47:40 PM EDT Updated On: Nov 22 2009 09:54:39 AM ESTNeighbors and supporters of a local soldier killed while fighting for our country sent care packages to Iraq in his honor on Saturday.
Army Pilot Earl Scott III died on Nov. 8 when his helicopter crashed during his second deployment in Iraq. Now those who knew Scott are making sure his fellow soldiers get the supplies they need while away for the holidays.
The kits have everything from potato chips to socks and underwear. Local businesses helped move the boxes to the post office to be shipped out.
All of the items were gathered by friends and supporters of Scott's family.
